As homeowners or a property care taker, we hope that we never have to use a fire extinguisher. In the rare case that we might have to use one, we want to make sure that we are using it properly. Attached to this email is a picture of how to use a fire extinguisher. Feel free to print this out and hang it next to your fire extinguishers’ on your property.
To operate a fire extinguisher:
Pull the pin.
Aim nozzle at base of fire.
Squeeze the handle.
Sweep nozzle side to side.
Make sure that you get them checked yearly by a professional. Again we hope that we never encounter a time where we need to use a fire extinguisher. Educating yourself ahead of time is a great strategy.
